Thebes Players - Community Theatre The Thebes Players offers four theatre productions each year including
stage productions at Lowell Performing Arts Center and dinner theatre
productions in downtown Lowell. Are you an interested in the theatre arts
and the Thebes Players? For volunteer opportunities contact Elaine Hommowun
at (616) 897-8545 or elaine@lowellartscouncil.org. This all-volunteer community theatre group meets monthly to select future theatre productions for approval by the LAAC board of directors. Thebes Players take responsibility for all aspects of the productions including director, producer, cast, and production support crew. The LAAC staff supports the productions through playbill advertising, marketing, and ticket sales. Productions at the Lowell High School Performing Arts Center are also supported by the school's LPAC coordinator, George Hommowun and high school drama students.
Community Networking Brings Costumes to Lowell!! When word got out that the owner of Illusions Costume Shop, Dave Scoby, was looking to sell his building located at 1610 Center Street, the question arouse "what would happen to the costumes from Illusions"? Dave was unsure, thinking that it was a possibility that a potential buyer of the building may want them. When Dave was asked if he would consider selling the costumes to LHS, he said yes.
